This alp forms the end of the Justistal valley at 1340 to 1620 m above sea level. Its flanks cover both valley slopes below the Sichel, where the Grönbach rises. A good and herb-rich sward prevails. Some dry sites have been registered with the nature conservation authorities. The alp is located on the hike from Eriz to Justistal, directly below the Sichel. The Grönbach rises here and meanders through the Justistal in front of us.
WAYS TO THE ALP
The alp can be reached by car from Gunten via Sigriswil or from Interlaken via Beatenberg on the goods road to Grön (car park at 1124 m); from there on foot in 2 hours following the mountain trail signs. Or from the post bus stop Innereriz/Säge via the Schörizalpen and the Sichel, about 3-3.5 hours and from the post bus stop Sigriswil in 3 hours on the road or mountain trails or from Beatenberg (funicular from Beatenbucht or post bus from Interlaken) in 2.5 hours on the road (attention: unlit road tunnel 350 m long).
