Wish Tree Campaign: Christmas trees that make wishes come true!

For many of us, going on vacation or enjoying a leisure activity is something we take for granted. For children, teenagers, and adults with disabilities, however, this often remains an unfulfilled dream. Thanks to a special Christmas campaign by Hauenstein Hotels and Klinik Schönberg, in partnership with the “Denk an mich” Foundation, heartfelt wishes—big and small—are coming true.

With the start of the Advent season, shops, hotels, and restaurants decked out in Christmas decorations are shining brightly everywhere. But for Nathalie Hauenstein, a member of the Hauenstein Group’s executive board, the magic of Christmas means even more: “Our Christmas trees make wishes come true and bring joy and unforgettable experiences to people with disabilities.” From November 30 to December 28, 2025, over 200 “wish ornaments” will hang on lovingly decorated Christmas trees at the five Hauenstein Hotels locations (Belvédère Strandhotel, Deltapark Vitalresort, Solbadhotel Sigriswil, Restaurant Burehuus, and Erlebnisland Grizzlybär) as well as at the Schönberg Clinic. The wishes were submitted by the “Denk an mich” foundation and are attached to the ornaments on small slips of paper. “I wish for a visit to the petting zoo,” reads one of the notes. Other children wish for “BMX training” or “a trip to Ticino.” Anyone who would like to help can take a wish from the tree and donate the corresponding amount at the reception desk or via QR code.

All donations collected will go directly to the “Denk an mich” Foundation and will help make many of these wishes come true soon. If you’d like, you can make a donation right here: to the Wish Tree campaign

About the Denk an mich:
The “Denk an mich” Foundation supports vacations and recreational activities for people with disabilities. As a charitable foundation of Swiss Radio and Television (SRF), it has been working for over 50 years to promote equal participation in social life. This includes vacations and recreational activities that many people with disabilities cannot afford.
