Our top 5
Here are our top 5 best photo spots in the Lake Thun region. Want to explore all ten locations? Plan your trip with our Google Maps map.
Panorama bridge Sigriswil
The suspension bridge is part of the panoramic trail around Lake Thun. The view from the bridge at a dizzying height is breathtaking. The best thing to do is to explore the village of Sigriswil itself. It has a lot of charm, warmth and good alpine cheese to offer.
OLD LOCK THUN
The old lock is located in the heart of the old town. It regulates the water level of Lake Thun. In spring and summer, flowers adorn the railings. On warm days, you might even see a real Aare surfer.
Thun Bonstettenpark
Bonstettenpark, which is open to the public, belongs to the town of Thun and offers you a picturesque recreational area right on the shores of Lake Thun all year round. A small wood, several avenues and the nearby Gwattlischenmoos nature reserve invite you to explore. The wooden footbridge with the imposing mountain panorama in the background is a popular photo subject. See for yourself.
VINEYARD WITH A VIEW OF THE BAY OF SPIEZ
Wonderful wine is produced in Spiez. You will also find some on the menu at the Hauenstein Hotels. And where wine is made, the vineyard is usually not far away. We think it's a great subject to perfectly showcase the lake, Spiez, the castle and yourself. And while you're there, why not pay a visit to Spiez Bay and the castle?
CASTLE OBERHOFEN
This lakeside castle is located directly on Lake Thun and offers a number of photo opportunities. We particularly like the architecture from the outside with the mountain panorama in the background. But there are many other details to discover.
