The most spectacular suspension bridges around Lake Thun
As we all know, the best view is from the top. Fortunately, there are many suspension bridges around Lake Thun from which the Bernese Oberland can be seen in its most beautiful splendor.
Sigriswil
Probably the most famous suspension bridge on Lake Thun is the Panorama Bridge between Aeschlen and Sigriswil. 340 meters long, the bridge is located above the gorge Gummischlucht, 182 meters below the surface. The view of Lake Thun and the mountains is magnificent.
Leissigen
Slightly shorter at 144 meters, but no less impressive, is the panorama bridge in Leissigen, which leads over the Spissibach. In the distance, on the other side of Lake Thun, the suspension bridge in Sigriswil can be seen. In a short walk from the bridge you can reach Meielisalp, where one of the most beautiful mini-golf courses in the region invites you to play and have fun.
Beatenberg
The 79-meter-long and 31-meter-high bridge in Beatenberg crosses the Sundbach. On the hike from Sundlauen to Beatenberg, this spectacular suspension bridge is crossed. The special thing about this bridge is that it is not only flat, but also consists of steps.
Cholere
At 46 meters long and 28 meters high, the suspension bridge over the Cholere gorge near Thun is neither the longest nor the highest bridge. But it is no less impressive. Especially the entrance via the concrete stairs is unique and requires a head for heights. A pleasant hike to the Rabenfluh can be perfectly combined with a visit to the suspension bridge.
