And you can experience this driving feeling on a tour around Lake Thun. Embedded in a dreamlike mountain scenery and surrounded by numerous villages, 5 castles and beautiful hotels as well as the charming towns of Spiez, Thun and Interlaken.

The starting point of the leisurely ride is Spiez, the place of power on the water. Along the left side of Lake Thun, with the local mountain Niesen behind you and a view of Thun, the gateway to the Bernese Oberland, you cruise leisurely along the main road along the lake - the left side of Lake Thun.

From the Schiffländte Thun we head in the direction of Thun Castle, past the hospital and soon up the steep Goldiwilstrasse in the direction of Goldiwil. However, the destination is not Goldiwil, but Heiligenschwendi. That's why we don't continue on the Goldiwilstrasse, but on the Scheidweg. The road winds its way up towards Heiligenschwendi, the climatic health resort at 1,100 m above Lake Thun. The route offers an incredible view of Lake Thun, the Stockhorn and the Stockhorn chain.

In Heiligenschwendi we made a short photo stop, then the ride continues through the cool forest along the Schwendi road via Tschingel towards Sigriswil, the village with the breathtaking view of the Niesen and Lake Thun.

From Sigriswil village the road leads down to Gunten, where the Harley tour continues along Lake Thun, the right side of Lake Thun.

With a view of the course and sailing ships on the lake, the road leads through Beaten Bay, past the Beatenberg-Niederhornbahn station in the direction of the St. Beatus Caves. The curves become tighter, the views more spectacular. Motorists, cyclists, motorcyclists - they all enjoy the unique view of the lake and mountains.

Soon you can see the Manor Farm campsite in Unterseen, the golf course, from where you could take a leisurely stroll through the Weissenau nature reserve. With the Harley Davidson, however, we continue directly on the lakeside road to Interlaken. On the right side the majestically enthroned Jungfrau massif. Interlaken, derived from Inter Lacūs / lacus - located between Lakes Thun and Brienz, hosts tourists from all over the world every year.

After a leisurely coffee stop on the "Höhenweg" promenade, the journey continues - now again on the left side of Lake Thun - towards Leissigen and from there back up to Krattigen, where just before the village a vantage point beckons with views of Beatenberg, the Niederhorn and the deep blue Lake Thun.

From Krattigen the tour leads back to Spiez directly down into the most beautiful bay in Europe. With a fine dinner, a cool sip of Spiez white wine and a unique view of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, the Harley tour comes to a crowning conclusion.
