The Oberstockenalp is a place to stay. The alp with mountain inn is located between the two mountain lakes in the middle of the Stockhorn hiking area. There is sleeping accommodation for 30 people in the mattress dormitory. In the summer months we process all the milk into our fine products. Inviting tables stand along the mountain path from or to the Stockhorn summit. It would be difficult to walk past them without trying out the variety of alpine products.

WAYS TO THE ALP

The alp can only be reached on foot. You take the Stockhorn cable car from Erlenbach to Chrindi and reach it on mountain trails in about half an hour, or from Stockhorn downhill in half an hour. From Erlenbach (700 m) via the sunny pastures and a steep ascent through Chrindi (and then as above), the climb takes 3-4 hours.

The new Sennhütte was built "1949 in the dry year of ZM Gottfried v. Allmen", one of the last buildings of the well-known carpenter from Nidfluh/Därstetten. Oberstocken is a "stone-rich" alp, but nevertheless well-grassed and beautifully situated - you are really "z'Bärg" there.
