"Hidden" bathing bays on Lake Thun
After a short excursion, a longer hike or simply a strenuous day: in summer temperatures, there is nothing better than relaxing on Lake Thun. Around the lake, public lidos and familiar bathing spots attract their guests looking to cool off in the water. But the popularity of the familiar spots sometimes makes it a bit crowded for everyone. The unfamiliar view from the water offers a remedy. From a boat trip, you have the opportunity to find hidden bathing spots and secluded bays on the shores of Lake Thun. All around the lake are these lesser-known pearls that invite you to spend relaxing hours on the cosy shore and in the cool water. And even the usual bathing spots look completely different from the water. Under a deep blue sky and in front of the impressive mountain panorama, small bathing huts, picturesque shorelines and almost deserted meadows tempt you to stop off. Only a few minutes later, we discover idyllic bays with many trees, whose shade is very welcome on particularly hot days. For it is precisely the alternation between floating on the emerald green water and relaxing on land that makes the boat trip so appealing.
