Who is Kirsten Gau?

Kirsten Gau is the Head of Spa & Vitality at the Deltapark Vitalresort. With her experience and passion, she has been ensuring that guests can enjoy a first-class relaxation experience in the Deltaspa since January 2023. Her professional journey before Deltapark has already taken her through various countries and hotels. Kirsten has worked in Germany, the Czech Republic, Geneva, Zurich and Gstaad, among others. She is not only responsible for the organization and quality assurance, but also for the strategic development of the spa offer.

A typical day

Kirsten emphasizes that no two days are the same. But if she had to generalize, it would look something like this: The day starts early with a tour of the spa to make sure everything is clean and ready for the day. She then takes a look at the booking situation and the coordination of the team. Which treatments are scheduled? How many day guests are expected? She welcomes guests directly at the front desk, answers inquiries by e-mail and supports the team where necessary. Telephone bookings, organizational tasks and spontaneous assignments such as refilling drinks or this interview are also part of everyday life. Followed by staff meetings, strategic planning and the ongoing optimization of the offer. Kirsten often jumps in wherever she is needed - be it at reception or behind the scenes.

What does Kirsten particularly like about her work?

Kirsten particularly appreciates the variety - no two days are the same, and that's what makes her work so exciting. Direct contact with guests and members is particularly important to her. At the same time, she enjoys the challenge of constantly developing the spa area: Whether it's quality management, operational optimization or the development of new offers and products - she always has the big picture in mind and ensures that the Deltaspa offers every customer an experience.

Kirsten's role is about much more than just wellness and relaxation - economic thinking plays a central role. The optimization of finances and budget must always be kept in mind, without losing sight of the guest and the team.
