Dog-friendly hiking trip in the Thun region
What could be better than spending your free time with your dogs in nature? The Bernese Alps offer beautiful destinations for excursions at any time of the year. But many dog owners know it, the trips to the mountains, with the mountain railways often unfold as quite expensive, because the dogs are usually charged with half a ticket.
Not so with the Niederhorn Bahn in the Bernese Oberland. Here, my furry companions ride for free. The region is extremely diverse and we enjoy a different experience every season.
Choose one of the gorgeous hikes in the magnificent region or ride on the gondola to Vorsass to enjoy an afternoon snack. With a bit of luck, you can even observe wild goats at close range. You can even enjoy a unique experience with older dogs. For me, this area is ideal as I can have a leisurely outing with all the dogs. There are also more challenging routes which I love doing with my younger dogs. The view of the three peaks - Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau and Lake Thun is simply breathtaking. In addition, the Niederhorn region is easy to reach and a perfect area for recreation.
