The Belvédère Strandhotel in Spiez is shining in new splendor. After two years of renovation, the final touches have now been completed. Even after the first phase of construction, the new kitchen, the expanded wellness area, the separate seminar wing, and the Captain’s Bar were already open for business. With the reopening, the 24 additional rooms have now also been completed. The result is an oasis away from everyday life that invites you to relax.

There’s hardly a more beautiful view of Spiez Bay, the vineyards, and the castle than from this bar. Not only because of the bow-shaped terrace and the teak flooring, but also thanks to the skillfully chosen interior details—such as portholes and ship’s lamps—you’ll feel as if you’ve been taken on a luxurious cruise out to the high seas. The bar is an ideal place to work in a relaxed atmosphere, to let your gaze wander over Lake Thun in the afternoon, or to wind down the day with friends over a drink.

The Captain’s Bar is not only open to hotel guests but also attracts outside guests during normal times. In the afternoon, it offers fine coffee and cake specialties. Creative cocktails, exclusive spirits, and fine wines, as well as a snack menu tailored to the Captain’s Bar, round out the offerings.

A smoking lounge is available for tobacco enthusiasts. Upon request, select rum, whiskey, or cognac can also be served alongside, for example, the “Belvédère Cigar.” This aromatic cigar is produced exclusively for the Belvédère Strandhotel in the Dominican Republic. At the Bacchus wine bar, guests can enjoy a simple aperitif or host a lavish wine tasting for up to 20 people. The new, standalone seminar wing offers space for events with up to 180 people, and the entire conference infrastructure is located on a single floor. The entire seminar wing is easily and quickly accessible from the guest rooms and directly from the underground parking garage. One-day seminars for local companies can also be held here in ideal conditions.

At the heart of the seminar wing is a spacious, light-filled foyer with a wonderful view of the lake. A professional team welcomes participants with a pleasant check-in and check-out experience and is available to answer questions or provide assistance.

Elegant names for five elegant seminar rooms overlooking Lake Thun: Diamond, Aquamarine, Sapphire, Ruby, and Emerald. The rooms vary in size, and thanks to their ingenious design, they can even be connected to one another, offering seminar organizers the utmost flexibility. All rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art conference technology. A creative space and three breakout rooms are also available. Coffee breaks can be enjoyed in the foyer or, when the weather is nice, on the outdoor terrace overlooking Lake Thun.

The seminar packages are perfectly tailored to the specific needs of the seminar participants. From a morning coffee break, a light lunch, and an afternoon coffee break to a gourmet 3- or 4-course dinner—there’s the perfect option for every occasion.
