Lake Thun Games a unique experience on Lake Thun

For 19 years, the Lake Thun Festival has presented musicals from all over the world and its own productions every summer. To date, over a million visitors have travelled to Lake Thun to enjoy fascinating spectacles of the highest quality at the foot of the UNESCO-protected mountain world of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. Together with the most beautiful lake stage in Europe, the unique gastronomy of the Lake Thun Festival offers an all-round enjoyable experience.
The Lake Thun Festival offers world-class musicals - from Broadway classics to in-house productions. The musicals take place annually from mid-July to the end of August. All 30 performances are performed live. The cast consists of professional musical performers from all over Europe and is complemented by a professional orchestra.
The Thun lake stage is located in the middle of the world heritage site of the Bernese Oberland mountains. The view from the grandstand, which seats 2,700 spectators, is directly onto the imposing giants Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau - a breathtaking backdrop in the midst of nature.
Hospitality is celebrated on Lake Thun. The first-class and tasteful gastronomic offerings enhance the musical experience in various dimensions.
The popular backstage tours offer exciting insights behind the scenes of Thun's culture makers. And they are open to everyone.
From 13 July to 27 August 2022, the hit musical IO SENZA TE returns to the stage in a new version and for the first time open-air. In summer 2022, the Thunerseespiele will once again present a Swiss hit musical with the dialect play. The production with the songs of Peter, Sue and Marc already thrilled over 120,000 visitors in Zurich in 2015 and 2016.
